The Rules

Learn To Play

The Learn to Play (LTP) Division will consist of players age 6-7 years old as of December 31 of that playing year.

U10 Division

The Learn to Play (LTP) Division will consist of players age 6-7 years old as of December 31 of that playing year.

U12 Division

The U12 Division consists of players ages 10 - 12 years old as of December 31 of that playing year. 

 

The U12 also has a weight restriction anyone over the weight of 135 lbs. has to play offensive line only (overweight linemen can not pull outside tackles). The league reserves the right to move any player over the weight of 150 lbs. up to Bantam if we feel the player is good enough. The offensive line means between the tackles. Overweight players may play on the front line of the kick return team only. 

 

Convert Attempts

  •  No hitting the center (15 yd penalty if contact is made). 

  • A kicked convert attempt is awarded 2 points. 

  • Anything other than a kicked convert attempt is awarded 1 point if good.

 

Punting

  • No hitting the center (15 yd penalty if contact is made). 

  • No fake punts, the ball must travel 15 yards to be deemed live. 

  • No blitzing on punts, only front 5 regularly playing defensive players between the tackles (defensive team should set up return).

  •  Ball not travelling 15 yards, the kicking team will be awarded a 20 yd punt. 

  • A punt attempt is deemed an attempt when the snap makes it to the kicker.

 

Kick-off

  • To be deemed a legal kick the ball must travel 15 yards, anything less than 15 yards, the return team retains possession regardless of who recovers**

The above rule is only overruled during the last 3 minutes of the 4th quarter when short kick-offs are permitted. During a short kick, the ball must be kicked 10 yards as per regular rules. **

U14 Division

A U14 player has to be no older than 15 years of age as of Dec 31 of that playing year. 

 

The U14 have a weight restriction to be a ball carrier a player must be under 180 lbs. Any player over 180 lbs may play everywhere else, as long as it is they are not running or catching the ball. 

 

The league has expanded into a new age group; the bantam league has up the age limit to 15-year-olds. Some restriction on 15-year-olds will apply 

            1) 15 year old must be less than 150 lbs. to play in an offensive position.

            For example; Running Back, Quarter Back and  Receiver. 

​

            2) 15-year-olds under 180 lbs. can play every position except the aforementioned ones. 

 

            3) 15-year-olds over the 180 lbs. will play offensive line only, between the tackles.

            For example, tackle, guard and center.
