Who We Are
Established in 2008, Estevan Minor Football is a minor football league for boys and girls 15 years and younger. Whether you want to introduce your atom to his/her first sport or help your established athlete play high school football, we're here to help you succeed. Several players including some of those graduating in 2015 have moved on to play football in the junior football ranks.
While we all consider this a success for the organization the biggest successes come when we see a child find a sport they enjoy and become part of a team. Football is the ultimate team sport where every member is relied on to complete their role for the team to be successful. We have had players come in training camp having never played any sport, very nervous, timid, and throughout the season they grow into very important members of the team. Often these great successes happen with players that may not be the most athletic, most confident, or most skilled. It truly is very rewarding and the reason many of us volunteer with this sport.
OUR LEAGUE
Estevan Minor Football has divisions for Flag, Atom, Pee-Wee, and Bantam. All equipment is supplied for all our divisions, only cleats or runners is required. Football is one of the most affordable sports around with equipment supplied. Our season is very short, however intense running from August to October.
Volunteers
Our complete facility includes 2 outdoor fields, a classroom/learning facility and more than a dozen established coaches. We are always looking for more volunteers. Tasks such as coaching, officiating, administration, maintenance, construction, lawn mowing, or garbage collection. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! We are only looking for those volunteers who are willing to help, are passionate about the community and are willing to make a difference with the youth of the community in SE Saskatchewan.
